6th Africa Scout Jamboree,Burundi 2012

From July 28th to August 5th, 2012. Under the theme "Scouting for a positive change", the 6th Africa Scout Jamboree will be held in Burundi, in Bungere, at the National Training Centre of the Association of the Scouts of Burundi. Please contact the Scouts Headquarters for more information

The National Founder's Day Celebrations On 22nd February 2012

On 22nd February, every year, Scouts worldwide gather in their respective countries to renew their promise and also to commemorate the Birthday of Lord Baden Powell - the Founder of the Scouts Movement. In Uganda this year, the National Founder'sDay celebrations will be held on Wednesday 22nd February 2012 at Makerere University. The theme for the day is: "Scouting For Community Involvement and Responsible Citizenship".

World Scout Youth Forum

The World Scout Youth
Forum provides an opportunity
for young members of World Scouting to discuss and express
their views on issues of interest
to them. Through preparing
inputs and making
recommendations to the
World Scout Conference and
to the World Scout Committee, to which the Forum is linked, participants will develop the skills necessary to strengthen their
capacity to take part in decision-making processes.
World Scout Jamboree
The World Scout Jamboree is the largest regular event organised by the Scout Movement. It takes place every four years in a different country. It is above all an educational event to promote peace and understanding among young people all over the world.
